However, the Mercedes-Benz G 580 Electric SUV boasts a modified and strengthened version of that frame for even more confidence and capability. It also sticks to tradition and has standard 4WD. However, this is not quite an ordinary 4WD system: The four motors can each operate independently and drive the wheels individually, letting you get unstuck from mud, sand, or rocks with ease.
And things only get more impressive from there. The 116 kWh battery is specially sealed, letting the Mercedes-Benz Electric G-Class drive through up to 33.5 inches of water without issue.1 An all-new OFF-ROAD COCKPIT system will assist with this task and continue to guide you through the worst terrain conditions with detailed off-road driving information and 360-degree camera views.
